Min kära vän Anna pratade för ett tag sedan om en drink dom brukade dricka när de varit i Thailand. Basen bestod av is och vattenmelon som mixas samman och med detta i bakhuvudet blandade jag här om kvällen i ordning en riktigt svalkande, somrig drink.
Nu under sommaren finns ofta vattenmelon till bra pris på mataffären och då brukar jag passa på att fylla kylen. För finns det något godare än att skiva upp lite kall vattenmelon en het sommardag? Börjar melonen ha sett bättre dagar är det bara att skära den i små kuber och styckefrysa dem. Förpacka sedan den frysta melonen i en burk med lock, perfekt att använda istället för is bålen, saften eller vattnet.
Sommardrink med vattenmelon och jordgubbar:
ca 25 isbitar
1/4 vattenmelon
1/2 L jordgubbar
mousserande vin/alkoholfri cider
jordgubbar till dekoration
Mixa isbitarna snabbt i en blender till grova bitar. Ta bort skalet från melonen och skär den i små kuber. Blanda ner detta i den krossade isen tillsammans med jordgubbarna. Mixa tills all is är helt krossad. Fördela blandningen i 4-6 stycken glas. Slå över vin/cider och rör om. Dekorera med fina jordgubbar och stick i ett sugrör. På mindre än 10 minuter har du sommaren fångat i ett glas!

Att blanda en riktigt bra äppelmust med kolsyrat vatten, ca 1/3 must, blir en härlig törstsläckare eller måltidsdryck varma sommardagar.

Med risk för att låta lite trög så har jag en liten fråga. Jag försökte göra denhär som en liten fördrink, Jag mixade allt utom bubblet för sig och sen när jag skulle tillsätta bubblet så skummade det hej vilt i hela köket. Blir det så eller har jag gjort nått tokigt?
