Även fast jag har ett stort matintresse betyder inte det att det inte blir falukorv med makaroner här hemma iblad, igår till exempel, efter att ha jobbat hela förmiddagen och dagen hade jag ingen lust över huvud taget att ställa mig och göra söndagsmiddag så då blev det.. precis, falukorv med makaroner.
Men äter man sånt en söndag har man all rätt i världen att äta söndagsmiddag på måndagen, det är så det fungerar här i världen. Och på tal om söndagsmiddag så ser jag att det är något ni sökt efter och på det viset hamnat här på bloggen, då passar det väl ypperligt att det dyker upp ett litet inlägg om just detta.
Att göra hel kyckling i ugn måste vara som gjort för att syssla med en söndag. Den går att förbreda på förmiddagen så att när det närmar sig middagstid behöver man inte slita ihjäl sig för att få fram maten på bordet. Gnid in kycklingen med lite god marinad och räkna med ca en timme per kilo i ugnen, krångligare än så är det inte.
Idag hade vi kantarellrisotto och kall timjansås till men ugnsrostade rotfrukter är annars en stor favorit.
Hel kyckling i ugn med timjan och citron:
ca 1 kg gärna färsk kyckling
1 citron
1/2 dl olivolja
4 kvistar färsk timjan
örtsalt
svartpeppar
Skölj av kycklingen och klappa den torr med lite papper.
Dela citronen på mitten och pressa saften ur den ena halvan, blanda citronsaften med olja, finhackad timjan, örtsalt och peppar.
Gnid in gycklingen runt om med marinaden och lägg den i en ugnsfast form.
Ställ in i ugnen i ca en timme i 180 grader. När kycklingen är klar, täck den med aluminiumfolie och låt den vila i ca 20 minuter innan du skär upp den.
Vad äter ni helst en söndag så här i början på hösten?
